Answers to some of our most asked questions. If you can’t find what you need, call us at the Salon and we’d be happy to help in any way we can.
Do I need an allergy test for hair colouring?
You must have a 48 Hour Allergy Alert Test done with us if:
- You are a new colour client
- You haven’t had your colour or 48 Hour Allergy Alert Test done with us within the last 6 months.
You must take a 48 Hour Allergy Alert Test at least 48 hours before your appointment. This is to ensure you do not have an allergic reaction to our colour products. Please contact the salon before your appointment so they can arrange this for you. If you do not take one before your appointment, we unfortunately may have to rearrange to a future date. Please be aware we can not carry out an Allergy test if you have taken Hayfever or any other allergy medication in the last 24 hours. Booking deposits will not be refunded if you fail to have the allergy alert test on time.
Do you have any special offers?
Yes we offer a 50% off first visit offer to all new clients. We also have a recommend a friend scheme, where if you recommend a friend they will get the 50% off and you will receive 50 treat card points to use against your next appointment. We also run training days for the apprentices every week for a reduced price.
Does the Salon have parking?
Yes we have free parking all the way around the salon, back and front. Please be aware we are near the local infants and junior schools and so pick up time can get busy. If you have an appointment with us around 2:30 please allow for extra parking time.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
We understand that due to your busy schedule you may have to cancel or change an appointment with us.
In order to respect the time of both our guests and our staff, we simply ask that you notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
If we don’t receive 48 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment then we may miss the opportunity to fill the space and clients on our
waiting list miss the chance to come and see us. If we don’t receive 48 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment then unfortunately, your booking fee becomes non-refundable.
Do you have a booking fee?
When you book an appointment online the system will ask for a booking fee. This fee will be used as part payment towards your service and is fully refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment.
Do you offer Gift Certificates?
Yes you can purchase Gift Certificates from us, give us a call at the Salon, email us or ask when you next pop in.
Gift Certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Please note that copies of certificates will not be accepted, if you have concerns over a lost certificate please contact the Salon.

Service Guarantee and Refunds
We make every attempt to ensure that you are satisfied with your experience at Halo Hair Design. In the event that you are not satisfied, please let us know at the time of your service or within 48 hours after your service has been performed. All services are non-refundable but we will be more than happy to schedule a corrective
service free of charge. Halo must be contacted within 48 hours of the Service to receive a complimentary service to adjust any dissatisfaction.
Please Note: The Service must be caused by an error of Halo Hair Design, not due to a change of mind after the service has been performed
Colour Correction
Colour correction services or/ going from very dark to bright colours may need more than one service and session to achieve your desired result, especially if you have used a box dye on your hair.

How quickly will my hair colour fade?
This is very dependant upon the hair porosity, the colour and what products you use after the Service. Any hair chemical treatment can cause dryness to the hair and any hair colour fades out with time, particularly toners. In oreder to prolong the colour we recommend using good quality products (your stylist can advise on this), having top-up toners to keep the colour fresh.
Do you offer FREE consultations?
Yes we offer free consultations for colour corrections, Cocochoco keratin treatment, Great Lengths Hair Extensions and the mens hair replacement service NEU Hair 4 Men. Please contact the Salon to book a time with one of our trained stylists.
