Nourish from within

A healthy diet plays a vital role in the health of your hair. Include foods rich in essential nutrients like vitamins A, C, E, and Biotin. These nutrients can be found in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Also, remember to drink plenty of water to keep your hair hydrated.

Gentle haircare routine

Avoid using harsh shampoos, most of the shampoo’s you can find in your local supermarket contain a lot of water and can coat the hair with a layer of silicone and some of them even have the same pH level as bleach!!! Be mindful of the water temperature when washing your hair; opt for lukewarm water instead of hot water, as hot water can strip away natural oils. Additionally, limit the use of heat styling tools and always apply a heat protectant like Sebastian Trilliant before using them.

Regular trims

Regular trims are crucial for maintaining healthy hair. Trimming your hair every 6-8 weeks helps to get rid of split ends and prevent breakage. This promotes healthier hair growth and overall hair health.

Deep conditioning

Treat your hair to a deep conditioning treatment once a week or as needed. Deep conditioning helps to restore moisture, repair damage, and improve the overall health and appearance of your hair. Look for products that contain natural ingredients like argan oil, coconut oil, or shea butter. We love the Oil Reflections mask to smooth and nourish.

Protect your hair

Protecting your hair from environmental factors is essential. When going out in the sun, wear a hat or use a leave-in conditioner with UV protection. Similarly, when swimming, wet your hair with clean water before entering the pool to reduce chlorine damage. Additionally, using a satin or silk pillowcase can help prevent friction and reduce breakage.

Avoid overwashing

Washing your hair too frequently can strip away natural oils, leading to dryness and damage. Aim to wash your hair every 2-3 days, or as needed, to maintain a healthy balance of oils.

Be gentle with wet hair

Wet hair is more delicate and prone to breakage. Avoid vigorous towel-drying or brushing when your hair is wet. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel or an old t-shirt and use a wide-toothed comb or a detangling brush to remove tangles.
